This painting captures one of those unforgettable "stop the car!" moments. While driving along a back road near Canmore, Alberta, I was struck by this scene and had to pull over to take photos. The interplay of the sky's soft blue tones with the golden-bronze foliage immediately caught my eye, creating vibrancy with the complementary colours.

I love how the open glimpses of the distant field and hills invite you to imagine an adventure just beyond the trees. This piece is a celebration of those spontaneous moments when nature's beauty takes you by surprise.
