Mile 6

"Mile 6" is a piece I created from a scene in Monument Valley, inspired by the iconic landscape and the mile marker that stands out in the composition. I approached this painting with a different style than usual, using unfinished edges and energetic brushstrokes to give it a raw, dynamic feel.

The painting was originally made for a group exhibition curated by Art Rapture, where all the artists worked on the same size format of paper. It was an honor to be part of such a talented group, which included artists like Ola Volo, Hanna Lee Joshi, Bracken, and others. The experience of working within that framework, while experimenting with this new approach, was incredibly inspiring.
