Awaiting Adventure

Lake Moraine is one of those places that feels like stepping into a postcard. When I visited it in the summer, the water was so calm it mirrored the mountains beautifully in hues of blue and green. What really stood out to me were three colorful canoes tied to the dock, as if they were quietly awaiting adventure.
I focused on the vibrant colours of summer—the turquoise of the lake, the warm wood of the dock, and the bright red, orange and green of the canoes. It’s my way of capturing the anticipation of a perfect day, where everything feels alive and full of possibility. Whenever I look at this piece, it takes me back to that magical morning and the promise of adventure just waiting to unfold.
