This painting depicts Moraine Lake nestled in the Rocky Mountains near Banff, Alberta. Growing up in Ukraine, I often saw this iconic Canadian landscape in books and on postcards, imagining what it would be like to see it in person.

When I finally visited Moraine Lake in 2016, it felt like stepping into a dream. Being there, surrounded by the mountains and the turquoise waters, felt incredibly special. This painting is my way of honouring that awe-inspiring moment, blending the nostalgia of my childhood dreams with the vivid reality of being there.
